Which measurements should I request?
Ask for the tape directly on a flat garment, with zero and both endpoints visible.
- Chest width
- Armpit to armpit, laid flat. This is the flat width, not the full circumference.
- Garment length
- From the shoulder beside the neckline to the bottom hem. Keep the starting point visible.
- Your fit reference
- Measure a garment you already wear the same way and compare the figures.

How do I compare those measurements?
Use the same measurement method on both items. The numbers below are teaching examples, separate from the reference photographs above.
